 -2009- So 2009 is done! Once again the wind kept some props from being put up , but the new stuff kept folks occupied , especially the window animation. Thanks to a small newspaper mention we managed to triple our donations to the JDRF. Thanks everyone! Enjoy the pictures. See ya next year. Plans are already being sketched and animated...hope you like spiders... Watch 2009 Promo Video Watch 2009 window animation  This year I introduced 'Faceplant the Clown' , much to the horror of those with clown phobias, which apparently is quite a lot!  I changed the lighting this year and managed to get the first 6 feet all reds , then it fades to blue back to the house.(with another red at the front door) It was very effective from the street.   Made the talking reaper more of a troll this year, but this was his last run as I have a much more fun role in mind for him in 2010 .  Finally got the new sign painted for this year.  Here is new prop. 9 feet high. Skeleton on rack.   Here is one part of our custom window animation.This freaked people out when it slammed against the glass coming out of the blackness. Watch 2009 window animation  Here you can see the computer generated room people were looking into.At one point there were kids sitting on the lawn like they were watchng tv.  Here is the new mummy / scarecrow.   This is Chaneys last year. Kids loved the pile of carnage. I had wolf growling noises eminating from within , and the head turned. Someone actually recognized it as the werewolf from the movie GINGER SNAPS! The producer kindly let me borrow it for this year.  Faceplant helps pour for the blood tea party.  "Hanging cage George" gets recycled to the window.  Hanging cage gets recycled into new cemetary gates.    Cool wide angle shot from inside the cemetary.   Here is the art wall painted by Urban Art Oakville , a program run for teens. Next year we are going to expand and make it more specific but folks seemed to really appreciate this aspect of the haunt.  This is my first hand lettering using a rotary cutter. They rock!!  Our virus zombie.  Graveyard resident.  Faceplant took to the streets on his bike , causing much screaming and running. Going to expand on this for next year. See ya then!! [Back To Photo Index] |
